How DERA works
From your first question to the agreed Japan-side handoff, here is what to prepare and what to confirm at each step.

Share the destination and goal
Tell us whether you want to find a vehicle, engine, part or equipment, move a vehicle within Japan, or arrange an export. Include the destination and what you want to achieve.

Confirm the item and requirements
Share the make, model, year, condition, quantity, budget and timing you know. For engines, parts or machinery, include the relevant codes, model, intended use and compatibility details where available. These details help define what needs checking.

Review documents and route
Gather the available documents and identify the pickup location, destination and route. For an export, confirm your destination's import rules, taxes and registration requirements independently before proceeding.

Agree the Japan-side scope
Confirm which Japan-side tasks DERA will coordinate and the scope and terms in writing. Sending an inquiry does not reserve an item, create a quotation, or form a contract.

Prepare the handoff
Confirm the agreed pickup or delivery location, access instructions, documents and handoff arrangements. Shipping dates and insurance require separate confirmation; an inquiry alone does not confirm either.
