Pakistan came in to existence in the year 1947 as a result of powerful movement
launched by Muslims of undivided India for separate sovereign and independent
homeland under the dynamic leadership of Quaid-e-Azam (means the Great Leader)
Muhammad Ali Jinnah. It comprises four provinces viz Punjab, NWFP (North-West
Frontier Province), Sindh and Balochistan and is pread over an area of 310433
square miles.
Pakistan is the land of geographical varieties, In the North there are the
Himalayas and Hindukush ranges which include 28250 feet high peak popularity
known as K-2, which are covered with snow throughout the year, leaning down to
the fertile plains of Punjab, leading to the deserts in the South down to
Arabian Sea On the West it touches Iran and Afghanistan. On the North is Russia
and China and on the East and South is India.
Pakistan's territory traces its antiquity to at least 5000 years when a highly
developed and advanced civilization including the era of excavations at Taxila,
Harappa, Moenjodaro and Kot Dijli was in existence here. Pakistan's National
Language is Urdu, English is also spoken and understood widely.
Due to the facilities available, Pakistan has produced all types of
professionals, technocrafts, medical/ para-medical staff, scientists,
educationists and Agricultural and Scientific Engineers.
Pakistan also has enormous potential in the field of poly-technic, know how for
repair and maintenance of the items of daily use and has trained all types of
skilled/ semi-skilled workers and technicians needed for repair and maintenance,
construction of buildings, farms, dams, stadiums etc, electricication,
air-conditioning, communication, aeronautical engineering, medical/ surgical
equipment and other allied services.
Experts in computer and information technology have also been adequately
trained.
70% Economy of Pakistan is based on agriculture, therefore, majority of people
inherited cultivation and are also to use modern methods and implements.
Since 1972, Pakistan has sent over 4.5 million workers of all categories
mentioned above and those needed for all types of out-door/ in-door manual
labour for employment in foreign countries, including Saudi Arabia, Gulf
countries, Far East and many other European and African Countries.
Manpower Export from Pakistan is regulated under Emigration Ordinance 1979 and
Emigration Rules, 1979 and is administered through the Director General, Bureau
of Emigration & Overseas Employment with his protectorates in all the four
Provinces of Pakistan. The business of manpower export is conducted
independently by Overseas Employment Promoters, Functioning all over Pakistan,
through OEP Licence issued by the Government of Pakistan.
At the moment approximately 60,000 workers are readily available for export on
employment through out the globe.

where they have been employed and have received world wide appreciation for
